But you can buy something similar. i actually put the abc play mat foam tiles right underneath the play pen - until i got the matt, it worked just as fine as the matt would have, but thebaby's spit up take time to clean out.

It does not but any 50 x 50 mat will fit. Amazon sells a really nice muslin cloth grey one with grips and a grey & white star one with grips and they both fit really nicely and go great with it I have the light Grey play pen. This play pen has great padding around the sides and is very well made in comparison to some of the others I purchased and returned due to the low quality this one is definitely worth the extra 5$ spent and mat $. I use it in a hard wood floor so I put double mats forbabyif being use on a carpet if u buy a thicker one you'll only need one. The mats cost me right around 30 ea
